Pure Light: A Family Health Studio
Dr. Sarah Lutz
“Health and harmony can naturally exist in our lives through a well-tuned nervous system. I intend to be a nurturing guide, assisting each individual on their journey to create their conscious, healthy lifestyle. I truly love seeing others awaken to the light of their own true nature.”
I experienced profound changes in my health and life after first receiving chiropractic care at the age of 15. I chose to pursue my career as a chiropractor to offer others the transformational service of the chiropractic adjustment. I graduated from Salem State University in Salem, MA with a Bachelor of Science degree in pediatric and adolescent psychology. I completed my doctorate of chiropractic degree at Life University in Marietta, GA. During my time at Life University, I explored many applications of chiropractic through advanced seminars and workshops. My expertise encompasses the spectrum of energetic healing to structural spinal correction, always with a focus on enhancing the function of the body’s nervous system, so that the body can heal from the inside out. I am committed to continuing my education through advanced training to always provide state-of-the-art care to my patients.
I love taking care of entire families! I have always loved caring for children and I have a calling to care for pregnant women. I am certified in the Webster Technique for pregnancy care and I am currently pursuing my diplomate in pediatric chiropractic from the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association. During my preceptorship, I interned for nine months at the largest pediatric family chiropractic practice in the state of Georgia. In 2015, Dr. David and I served on a chiropractic mission trip to Peru in which we cared for hundreds of children. We are committed to help all children and adults reach their fullest expression and highest human potential.
During my free time I love practicing yoga, Pilates, and functional movement exercises. I am an avid reader and I also love cooking and baking healthy organic recipes. My favorite thing to do is to explore the great outdoors of Bend and the Pacific Northwest with my husband Dr. David. We are very excited to meet our baby soon, due November 2018!
We look forward to meeting you and your family!
Dr. David Lutz
“Improving the life of a suffering child has a massive ripple effect. The trajectory of an entire life is changed forever. The family can regain excitement, exploration and pursuit of purpose. A community flourishes because that child is back to being the fullest expression of themselves. A child’s life changed has an immeasurable impact on the future of humanity and the world.”
As a child, I experienced the yearly flu, bronchitis, and colds. At the age of 12, my life was transformed by chiropractic care. I received consistent adjustments and my immune system was strengthened immensely – awakening me to the power of the human body and the power of the chiropractic adjustment. I realized that giving the gift of health and full expression of life was my calling.
I graduated from Michigan State University, with a Bachelor of Science degree in human biology with a specialization in the promotion of healthcare. I completed my doctorate of chiropractic degree at the most prominent chiropractic school in the world, Life University in Marietta, GA. During my internship of over 500 hours, I worked alongside the leading pediatric chiropractor in the profession and I cared for hundreds of children suffering from ADHD, autism, sensory processing disorders, allergies, and ear infections. I am certified in the Webster Technique for pregnancy care and I am currently pursuing my diplomate in pediatric chiropractic from the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association. In 2015, Dr. Sarah and I served on a chiropractic mission trip to Peru in which we cared for hundreds of children in need. We are committed to help all children and adults reach their fullest expression and highest human potential.
Outside of chiropractic, I enjoy exploring the great outdoors with my wife Dr. Sarah. I am very passionate about snowboarding and hiking, especially in Bend and Central Oregon. I love to be congruent in all aspects of my lifestyle by performing functional movement exercises, preparing and cooking fresh organic food, and spending time reading books on personal development and spiritual growth.

In my 40s I was suffering from sciatica and back pain and discovered I had always had scoliosis. I started receiving chiropractic care at that time, and ever since have kept up with it for pain relief, healing, and overall health. I love the philosophy here at Pure Light, and the adjustments from Dr. Sarah and Dr. David!
I’m originally from Northern Virginia, outside of Washington, DC. I lived there my entire life, though once my kids were grown (I have a daughter and son, both in their 20s), I decided to have an adventure and I moved to Oregon! I’m loving Bend and the healthy lifestyle here.
My background is in early childhood education as a preschool and elementary teacher. Now that I’m retired from teaching, I still enjoy volunteering at local schools and LOVE getting to see babies and children here at Pure Light! I enjoy kayaking, paddle boarding, hiking, visiting new beautiful places, particularly out in nature. I also love to read and write.
