I have radical beliefs about health. I believe that you have a God-given intelligence within you that controls and coordinates every single action in your body. That intelligence has the potential to bring profound healing and vitality to each and every person. There is an energy that stirs each of us to life. We are more than just the sum of our parts. And together we are more than just the sum of individuals. I have trust in the process of life and honor the beauty in the journey.

I have always loved caring for babies and children. I have a calling in my heart to care for mothers. Becoming a mom myself in 2018, I gained even more compassion for helping women through their pre-conceptive, pregnancy, birth, and postpartum journeys.

I have trained extensively to provide state-of-the-art care for the smallest of newborns, children of all ages and abilities, and to pregnant mothers through each stage of their journey, including postpartum healing and well-being. I also love caring for whole families - for restorative care and for wellness care. When families are balanced together, it creates exponential healing and connection. Helping families heal, grow, and thrive is truly the greatest joy and honor.

I am certified in the Webster Technique for pregnancy care and I am certified in pediatric and prenatal chiropractic through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association and the Academic Council of Chiropractic Pediatrics.

My expertise encompasses the spectrum of bio-energetic healing to structural correction, always with a focus on enhancing the function of the body's brain and whole nervous system, so that the body can heal from the inside out. I’m here to support and empower you with education, resources, and encouragement as you navigate your own unique road to optimal well-being.

I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in pediatric and adolescent psychology in 2012. I completed my Doctorate of Chiropractic degree at Life University College of Chiropractic in Marietta, GA in 2016. During my chiropractic preceptorship, I interned for nine months at the largest pediatric and prenatal chiropractic practice in the state of Georgia. In 2015, Dr. David and I served on a chiropractic humanitarian trip to Peru, during which we cared for hundreds of children and families. I continually train in various advanced chiropractic techniques, but especially in pediatrics, maternity, cranial work, and oral work for lip/tongue ties. I am always learning, researching, and staying on top of advancements in the chiropractic profession in order to provide you with the best, most up-to-date evidence-based care.

Dr. David and I met and fell in love in chiropractic school. In 2015, we embarked on an epic journey around the United States to find our forever home - where we would begin our practice and raise our family. Amidst traveling 7,000 miles and camping along the way, we discovered Central Oregon and felt deeply called to be here. After completing our education, we moved our lives across the country, got married, and started our practice.

We founded Pure Light Family Chiropractic in 2017 in order to bring radical health and healing to the Central Oregon community. For us, it’s even more than just providing a chiropractic service. It’s about really connecting with each individual during every interaction. It’s about building community and bringing families closer together. It takes a village, and we hope to be a part of yours.

Outside of the office, I am a full-time momma to our daughter Evaleigh and our son Ezekiel. I love to explore the beautiful great outdoors - hiking, kayaking, SUPing, and camping. I enjoy homeschooling, cooking healthy and nourishing meals, exercising, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.

A community flourishes because that child is back to being the fullest expression of themselves. A child’s life changed has an immeasurable impact on the future of humanity and the world.

Dr. David Lutz

At the age of 12, my life was transformed by chiropractic care. I received consistent adjustments and my immune system was strengthened immensely – awakening me to the power of the human body and the power of the chiropractic adjustment. I was educated by my doctor on the vitalistic and holistic paradigm of healthcare. I knew, at 12 years old, that my calling was to become a chiropractor and offer others the life-changing service of chiropractic care.
 
I graduated from Michigan State University, with a Bachelor of Science degree in human biology with a specialization in the promotion of healthcare in 2013. I completed my doctorate of chiropractic degree at the most prominent chiropractic school in the world, Life University in Marietta, GA in 2017. During my internship of over 500 hours, I worked alongside the leading pediatric chiropractor in the profession and I cared for hundreds of children suffering from ADHD, autism, sensory processing disorders, allergies, and ear infections. I am certified in the Webster Technique for pregnancy care and I am certified in pediatric and prenatal chiropractic through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association and the Academic Council of Chiropractic Pediatrics. In 2015, Dr. Sarah and I served on a chiropractic mission trip to Peru in which we cared for hundreds of children and in need. We are committed to helping all children and adults reach their fullest expression and highest human potential.
 
Through actively raising our own two young children, Evaleigh and Ezekiel, I understand the blissful, unconditional love-filled moments with high highs as well as the sleepless nights, big tantrums, never getting a moment to yourself and the constant 24 hour job of being a parent. When you come to Pure Light, whether that’s at your highest point or your lowest point, I will be there to celebrate or sympathize. Walking through life with young families during the tender years fills me with so much purpose and joy. I love to help babies, kiddos, teens, young adults, parents and all the way to grandparents, transform into the person they were made to become. Being a part of this journey is such a blessing. Thank you for entrusting me.
 
Outside of chiropractic, I enjoy exploring the great outdoors with Dr. Sarah, Evaleigh and Ezekiel. Becoming a father has been the greatest blessing. I am very passionate about snowboarding, mountain biking, and hiking in Central Oregon. I love to be congruent in all aspects of my lifestyle by performing functional movement exercises, preparing and cooking fresh organic food, and deepening my relationship with God.

I knew immediately that this would be a huge gift for our little ones as they are learning and growing, as well as benefit all of us kids at heart.

I am so grateful my parents brought me to a chiropractor when I was young. As a gymnast and middle child of five, it created an amazing foundation in learning how to listen to my body and appreciate the wisdom that comes from within.

I graduated from Bethel University in Minneapolis, MN with a double major in International Business and Finance. During my time in college, I had an opportunity to work at one of the most reputable chiropractic offices in Minneapolis that specialized in pediatrics and pregnant women. I loved going into work every day, but I also began to think clearer, dream more, and I felt so much more connected to myself and those around me. I decided to continue my education and obtained my doctorate from Life University in Marietta, GA. During my time at Life University, I attended dozens of seminars and learned about the latest research in chiropractic from some of the top neuroscientists in the world. Did you know that a chiropractic adjustment creates changes in the part of our brain that controls our personality, goals, and values? Essentially, an adjustment helps us re-connect to the greatest version of ourselves! I knew immediately that this would be a huge gift for our little ones as they are learning and growing, as well as benefit all of us kids at heart.

While at Life University I looked into many different areas of expertise, but children and mommas stole my heart. I chose my internship in at the largest and busiest pediatric office in Georgia, where I learned specific techniques to help bring peace to the body and brain. I am certified to work with pregnant women through the Webster Technique, and am continuing to take classes that focus on the latest strategies to care for infants and children. As a doctor of chiropractic, I will always keep searching for ways to help serve and support you and your family.

In my free time you can find me hiking, mountain biking, paddle boarding, kayaking, cooking, and spending time with my amazing family and friends. I feel so honored to be joining and collaborating with the Pure Light Team, and I am so excited to meet you.

Raenah Gehm

Office Manager

Growing up in a large family, I loved adventuring. During high school, I injured my hip and underwent several major surgeries. Going from playing competitive sports to being bed bound for an entire year was extremely difficult and has given me such an appreciation for movement and the care that our bodies require. Being able to walk is something that I will never take for granted! My healing journey has given me an immense desire to help other people, especially children, gain back their ability to adventure and live life to the fullest.

During my free time, I love finding one of our incredible local lakes or rivers to swim in or sit beside with a good book to soak up the sunshine! I love to cook and experiment with new flavors. Nothing makes me happier than preparing a large meal for friends and family before fellowshipping or sitting down for a major sporting event.

Born and raised in central Oregon, I graduated high school and ventured off to the valley for college. While studying early childhood education, and working as a nanny, I was soon pulled to move back home. I met my now husband Vincent, and eventually became pregnant with our little boy, Lorenzo! We connected to the Pure Light team through our sons tongue tie revision journey, and were so grateful to have loving, gentle, and individualized care for our son during his healing season.

By the time I had our son, I had already dove head first into the world of alternative medicine. However, our home birth brought a new kind of discovery. A spark was lit that stirred my heart intensely. Shortly after, I was gifted the opportunity to study traditional midwifery and attend births for the last two years. I emerged from this experience with a far greater appreciation and love for the magical mama and baby dyad, and the strength of our resilient bodies! Recently, I chose to step away from birth work for the time being to focus on our little family unit.
My passion for health and wellness started from years of battling chronic depression and anxiety, post birth control syndrome, and gut issues. I began my path to find the root cause of these forms of dis-ease in my body, after many westernized approaches had failed me.
I believe chiropractic care, among many other things; to be one of the pillars in creating a strong and lasting foundation of health.
I couldn’t be more excited to be apart of the Pure Light team, and walk alongside you all in your journey of healing!
 
In my free time you can find me playing trains with my little one, doing house projects, making up new recipes in my kitchen, listening to podcasts, or getting my sweat on in the gym!

I started a care plan for my son and saw immediate and beautiful changes in him. Since then, my family and I have started care with Dr. Sarah, Dr. David, and Dr. Liz and haven’t looked back. We have appreciated that we all have a similar zeal for a natural, healthy, and balanced lifestyle.

I have worked as a photographer off and on in Central Oregon since 2016, as well as started and operated an organic specialty cut flower farm. Creativity has always been a part of who I am and I am grateful to get to use my training, passion, and inspiration in a meaningful way.

In my free time, you can usually find me chasing my sweet toddler around, making sourdough bread, listening to podcasts, dreaming up a future garden, researching/learning about new things, and spending time with my wonderful family and friends.

I was born in raised in Bend, Oregon and have always loved the beauty and culture of Central Oregon. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2013 from Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego, California. My husband, Steve, and I moved back to Central Oregon in January 2019 and have built a home nestled between Bend and Sisters.
 
Over the last 9 years, I have had the opportunity to work in a variety of settings in the nursing world, ranging from pediatrics to end-of-life. I am passionate about building relationships with my patients and have always loved empowering others through education and a positive attitude. My heart is deeply rooted in Central Oregon and I am beyond thrilled to partner with Pure Light and their vision to create a healthy thriving community.
 
I have always loved health and fitness, desiring to stay active my entire life, but it wasn’t until I was recently introduced to Pure Light that my eyes were opened to the vast potential of growth there is for me in this journey of stewarding my body and gifts well while pursuing a healthy lifestyle. I am so encouraged to find such a dedicated team who not only love what they do but truly live what they preach. Before joining the Pure Light team, I was a member of the clinical team at Central Oregon Pediatric Associates and managed a family behavioral health clinic in Central Oregon.

My passion for health and fitness came early in life, inspired by my parents who have spent their careers running small businesses centered around fitness and recreation.

When Dr. Sarah and Dr. David invited me to be a part of the Pure Light family, I was thrilled by the opportunity to work with such compassionate and dedicated healthcare providers.

We share a commitment to the health and well-being of our community, as well as our own wellness, which I believe is key to providing the best care to our patients. Simply put, I feel extremely fortunate to be a part of Pure Light Family.
